Reader's block

The house has many books.

Nowdays I find, I begin reading, and stop 3/4 down a page, that my eyes have read; however I can only remember the first paragraph.

My brain, can only take in so much.

I have read too much.

I read now, or watch a movie, and fall asleep, before the end.

Reader's block, is something that comes and goes.

I also get writer's block.

Superstars of Country

I saw the Superstars of Country Collection, being advertised.

Too cut a long story short I paid it off.

Pure entertainment.

Worth every cent.

I remember solos, sung by female Country singers, about their successful love affairs; that were remembered nicely.

It was the evening I fell in love with Country.

They had a certain something, that stays with you.

So; I have the problem of not knowing the names of these songs..

Drimia Maritima

I purchased an old Doctor’s book some years ago, from a local oppe shop.

It, appeared to have been owned, by an awfully sick soul; for the pages had spittle marks, as if it had been coughed on most pages.

After reading some of it, I got sick with a cough, and put the book aside.

It was a well written book, with some absolute gems of knowledge, in simple old techniques to cure some nasty complaints.

Mom picked it up recently, and read about an ancient medicinal herb called ‘Squill’.

Not only is it good for the heart, but to treat cough complaints.

I had to know about this, so I did a web search, and found an article on Wikkipedia.

It was mentioned, in the texts of Pythagoras, 6 BC correct me if I am wrong.

Was also used to kill rats.

There are other forms of Squill, and the medicinal type, is now called Drimia Maritima.

So I purchased some seeds, and so I’m growing it soon.

We already have herbal medicine growing to treat the common cold.

I believe, one of the biggest jokes I have heard in years, is when they closed the local Geelong jail.

It sure has been a while, since I had a vacation.

The Chair

Its just me, my daily chair, next to my pile of brick-a-brack.

As I don't strain, daily tasks, have formed a pile of brick-a-brack, around 30Cm high, right next to me.

A clipboard to my right, has an A4 task page, completely full.

What I've worked out, is there are merely 3 to 4 tasks, that can be completed in a day.

And, many of them require a certain allowance.

So, very little gets done requiring money.

For the record I'm not getting out much.

Time passes as my thoughts swim.

Clear air, blue sky, and silence cloth my days.

What the eyes do not see,
the heart, does not grieve for..
